THANKSGIVING '08

This year was a fun thanksgiving! We had it with the Burnett side of the family + Lori's brother. Ned I think.... anyways in case any of you guys had that yummy cornbread stuffing or cranberry bread or cranberry sauce, that was mine :) and yes I am very proud of myself because I spent ALL that day cooking that stuff :) While we were there, my dad brought over my favorite doggy Molly. I was just chillin watching every one play basketball because my hand eye coordination skills suck. I was holding Molly and up comes Carter, staring at Molly's hind end. Our conversation went like this.
Me: What are you looking at Carter?
Carter: Your puppies pee pee. It's very colorful.
Haha. Lori you have such an observant child.

THE LIST!

I know you are wondering whatever happened to Robert Pattinson? Well I recently discovered that he smokes pot. HE DOES DRUGS!!!!!! Well guess what? I don't date druggies. And if you saw him on Jay Leno the other night then you will understand what I'm talking about. You don't care about personal hygiene?!?! You don't wash your hair anymore you say?!?!?!?!?! Well that is just sick. Go die in a supermassive black hole :)

TWILIGHT TICKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay it was a while ago but we got tickets for Twilight!!!!!!! I will be going to the midnight showing on November 21, a Friday morning. Yes I'll be way tired at school but it's going to be worth it because Twilight is amazing and Robert Pattinson is hot. I'm going with my mom, Aunt Tiff, Marqi, Sam, Sabrina, and Madison, and my friend Ashley will be there but she's not in the same theater as us. Oh well, I am SOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DAVID!!!!!!!!!!

Just thought I'd let you all know that my sexy mexy's new cd is coming out on November 11th (TUESDAY!!!!) and I think you should all just know that I am so excited I can hardly stand it. His two singles out right now are Crush and Angels and they are the best songs in the world and stupid, monotone, down right ugly, OBESE David Cook's songs don't EVEN compare, so don't you DARE listen to those people who are stupid enough to be David Cook fans (no offense to any of you that are, you just have the worst taste in music I have ever heard of). Haunted Forest!!!! (by the way this is a really long post without pictures, so sorry)

Okay, so last night me and my friends Brandon, Riley, and Amanda all went to the Haunted Forest and Hotel. As you can see I've made it out alive!!!! When we first got there, we had to go through this door thing and into this big open space where we had to wait in line to go into the Haunted Forest. There was this HUGE nine foot tall ugly monster thing that stood there staring at us, and stupid Riley started taunting him so he chased us around for five minutes. Then there was this hunchback monster that was like six feet tall and Riley decided to make fun of him too and OH MY GOSH scariest experience of my life!!!!!! He ran after us and we stood at one end of this rope thing and he was at the other. We sat there for probably ten minutes before we decided to just book it and go get in line. I was scared to death and we hadn't even gone in yet! When it was our turn, we went into this room where this weird guy with really crappy face paint and a bad accent told us all the rules. Then we went into this pitch black room, we couldn't see anything! Anyways, we walked for a while and we realized the room was getting narrower and the ceiling was getting shorter. We had to go through this heavy tarp and into this hallway that was really dark and all the grout in between the bricks was glowing. So we walked through all these rooms and a bunch of dudes kept popping out at us, and then we got to the chainsaws!!! If I haven't already told you, I am terrified of chainsaws! So this one guy comes up to us and I tried to be as calm as I could, and he swings the chainsaw SO hard and seriously almost hits Amanda in the face! So we kept walking and this guy pops out with a lawn mower. Well guess what? Now I'm terrified of both chainsaws and lawn mowers. How am I supposed to mow lawns any more? Then we went into the scariest room of them all! It was this big tunnel and there was this metal bridge you had to walk across and the walls were spinning so the whole time you felt like you were going to fall off the edge of the bridge. It was scary! We got out finally and went into the Haunted Hotel. We go into the first room and there is this excorsist girl laying on the bed. We had to walk all the way around the bed, and there was only a foot between the wall and the bed. we thought she wasn't going to do anything, but then she popped up and started flipping everywhere. I almost got hit! The next room had this grandma in a rocking chair and it was all squeaky, and then she started shrieking. We ran into the bathroom (the next room) and there was this girl flopping all over the glass shower door (yes it was a robot and yes she had clothes on. It wasn't pornographic I promise). The next room had all these neon bars that looked like a jail cell and it was like a maze, you had to figure out how to get out. There was this funny clownish guy that made me laugh. We found our way out and then we had to go into the clostrophobic room. It was this big hallway you had to squeeze through and it was like two of those big huge blow up slides pushed together, except it was all black so you couldn't see where you were going and it lasted forever! Anyways, we made our way out and I couldn't believe I hadn't died. It really wasn't that scary, I think it was mostly the rooms that freaked me out. But I had so much fun and I'm looking forward to going again next year!

I'm Baaaaack!!!!!!!!!

Wow! I haven't posted anything for a really long time!!! I didn't think there was anything to update with but now that I think about it there's a lot thats happened! I'll try to start where I left off, even thought I'm pretty sure I'll skip a whole bunch of stuff and then remember it next week.
Okay, so on September 14 I had my third year anniversary. With whom you ask? My braces. My stupid, ugly, braces. I hate them more than almost anything in the entire world, right behind Barrack Obama, Mrs. Chambers, David Cook, and my RETARD of a Dentist who was the one that made me go through all of this torture in the first place. If he had just let me be, I wouldn't even be posting this.
On September 18th, I got my CELL PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my gosh do you know how long I've been begging for a cell phone?! Try 3 YEARS!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!! So if you're on Verizon let me know and it's unlimited minutes and texting for us!!!!!!! Yipeee!!!!!! (and if you're wondering what my number is you'll just have to call our home phone and ask. And if you don't have our home phone then just talk to me at school or e-mail me and I'll totally give it to you.)
This is where I run into problems because I can't really remember much that happened at the end of September... I don't know if that's a problem, I just don't think I did very much. Like I said in about a week I'll remember what happened.
Hmmmmm, let's see... I still can't remember anything so I'll just tell you how schools going. It is NOT fun. US History is going to kill me it's so boring, I'm depressed from spending two weeks researching Hitler for English, our Foods teacher won't let us cook anything that has more than a tablespoon of fat, sugar, or cheese, my Spanish class is the text book class (woohoo! >:( ), Science is science it's bad no matter what, stupid PE is going to put me into a coma, Mrs. Chambers is as fat as ever, and I'm getting blisters from all the stapling and hole punching I do in T.A. Haha, I'm pretty negative :). On the positive side I have lunch, and as nasty as the food is I love being with my friends :) Gabby has stopped telling me all her perverted stories she thinks I love to hear (yeah right), and I've been getting really good grades, so I'm hoping and praying that I've passed my science walkaway so I can have another 4.0 this term!!!!!!!!
Now for the exciting news!!!!! David Archuleta's album is coming on November 11th!!!!!! YAY!!!!!
:'( Dashboard Confessional came in concert on the 16th and I couldn't go!!! :( I was so sad :( I went to their concert last year and it was AMAZING!!!! We were right next to the stage, the only problem was that we were like shoved up against the speakers. Oh well it was so worth it to be so close to Chris Carabba even though we were shaking the music was so loud.
So next week on Friday I believe, me and my friends Brandon, Riley, Eric, and Annika are going to the Haunted Forest and Haunted Hotel. I'm so scared!!!!!!!! I'm kind of a wuss but hopefully this will toughen me up. I think my biggest problem with haunted stuff is not being able to see where I'm going. It scares me so bad, but I should be fine :) Oh, and thanks Nikki, you made me feel better about going, because at first I thought there was NO way I was going anywhere near that place, but I feel more willing to go now, even though it'll probably give me a heart attack. If I don't post anything about it by the end of this month and you just so happen to get a funeral invite, at least you'll know what happened :)
On Tuesday dad left to go hunting in Colorado, so for UEA weekend it's just been me, mom, and Kelsey. Today we went to Applebees for lunch (it was so good!), and then we went and saw the movie The City Of Ember. It was a pretty good movie. I had my doubts at the beginning, it was a little weird, but then after it got going I liked it. Except the mole. That was so random. Crawling through the sewers and suddenly there's a giant mole chasing after you. Haha who woulda guessed?
Alright, this is the part where I remember what's happened. At the beginning of October my friend took me to Cafe Rio for the first time EVER! Oh my gosh, they have the best mexican food in the entire world! Haha, wanna know what I ordered? Sweet pork burrito with pinto beans, medium sauce, and enchilada style :) hahaha, I've been working on that for a while now :) It was so funny because while we were ordering our food I couldn't understand a thing the guy was asking me. He had such a heavy accent... haha, I felt bad because he had to repeat himself like five times for each question and I still had to ask Ashley what he was saying :) hahaha good times, good times.

Okay I promise this is the last update. This post is SO long! Sorry :) It was really sad, because this week our ward split! I was so sad because our ward was the BEST!!!!!!!! I think out of all the wards we've been in this is my favorite! We had the best Young Women leaders and the best Young Women!!!!! Last Wednesday we had our final goodbye party. Barbacoa catered and we had a big slide show with pictures from the Bailey Cabin Retreat, Girls Camp, Scouts Camp, Youth Conference, and pics of our activities. It was really sad but it's nice to get to know new people and make new friends. It won't be the same as last time but I'm hoping it'll be good enough that I can suffer through it :) Just kidding, I bet it will be great!
So that's about it, but the next time something happens I'll post!!!!!!

Molly's Surgery

So I guess her surgery went pretty good. She's already back to her normal self. Here's a picture of her little stump of a tail. I would let you see some pictures of her stitches, but 1) it was impossible to get a picture of her stomach and 2) I don't know how excited you would be to see her stitches, and possibly some other body parts you shouldn't be forced to look at. I mean her tail was probably graphic enough, right?

Poor little Molly :(

The poor little pup just had to go get fixed :'( Plus she got her tail re-chopped or something like that and now its a little bloody stump. Its painful to watch. She can't even sit down without whimpering. I'll post pictures of her injuries when I don't feel so lazy.

School Schedule

ICK! Most of you know that I started school last Monday. You probably don't care, but I'm going to post my schedule anyway. I'll tell you what I think of them so far, I guess. Maybe that will make it so it isn't so painful to read.
SEMESTER UNO:
A1-US History with Ms. Freeman. Ms. Freeman is awesome! I don't like History very much, but it isn't so bad so far. I have it with my friends Kari, Maddy, and Brandon, so that makes it all the better.
A2-English with Ms. Measom. MS MEASOM IS THE BEST!!!! Oh my gosh, she is the coolest teacher. SO much better than stupid Mrs. Peterson.
A3-Foods with Ms. Schwartzman. This class is amazing. I get to eat and cook all in an hour and fourty five minutes. Plus I have it with my friends Nicole and Amanda. I would say Kenzie too, but she's transfering out soon.
2nd Lunch. I like lunch okay just because I can visit with my friends, but as far as the food goes, I'd rather eat cat puke.
A4-Spanish Uno with Ms. Davis. I don't have any friends in this class, but its kind of fun and Ms. Davis is funny, plus she told me I was smart for knowing the capital of Bolivia. Which I wouldn't have known if it wasn't for Grandma and Grandpa Burnett, so thanks for helping me not make a fool out of myself :) hehehe
B1-Science with crazy Mrs. Bucklew. You know what? I'm just glad she didn't sort us into houses this year.
B2-P.E. with Ms. Sikander. GAG ME!!!!! P.E. is THE WORST!!! There is nothing you can do to make me think different.
B3-Geometry with Ms. Chambers. This is the only thing worse than P.E. I would rather run around Lehi five times than be stuck in this class any longer than I have to be.
2nd Lunch. Icky lunch.
B4-T.A. for Foods with Ms. Schwartzman. T.A. stands for Teacher Assistant, if you didn't know. This class isn't so bad except on my first day I had to dust shelves and grade baby poo. haha, don't ask.
SEMESTER DOS:
I don't know anything about these classes yet, so your going to have to live without the commentary.
A1-Spanish Uno with Ms. Davis.

Office Friends

***FYI, you won't get this at all if you don't watch the Office. Plus I just read it and it wasn't as funny as it when I was actually there telling them all of this. Just thought I should tell you so you dont' think I sit there and laugh at all this stupid stuff.***
Friday night I went babysitting and wore this shirt: For those of you who don't know, this is a shirt with a picture of Angela's cat Sprinkles, from the T.V. show the Office. Sprinkles the cat was put in the freezer by Dwight, who at the time was Angelas secret lover. Below the name Sprinkles is her birth and death dates. Anyway, the kids I was babysitting thought the cat was real. Then they asked if it was my cat and THEN they asked me how the poor little kitty died. So, instead of trying to explain to them that it was from a T.V. show, I decided to tell them that my friend Angela had a cat and her boyfriend Dwight stuck her in the freezer and it killed Sprinkles, and so Angela made these shirts for all of us in honor of her cat. Well I guess that wasn't enough information for them, so they kept asking me all these questions like, "What did Angela do???!!!" and I told them, "Well, Angela broke up with Dwight, and then decided to give him another chance, but then every time she looked in his eyes, she could see Sprinkles dead, lifeless body reflecting back at her." All in all, we spent about two hours talking about the Office. I told them about Pam and Jim and Angela and Andy and Micheal and Holly and Holly and Kevin, and then I ran into a problem because all of this was just leading up to the finale of this last season. So it just kind of ended like this, "Now Angela and Andy are engaged and Dwight is going to try to get Angela back, and Pam is sad because she thought Jim was going to propose, and Micheal likes Holly and Holly likes Micheal but they both don't know the other one likes them, and Holly thinks Kevin is mentally retarded and they just went to get pie." And by this time they were both jumping up and down and Josie was sucking on her blanket and laughing, and Hadlie was screaming. hehehe :) Then Josie's like, "CALL ANGELA!!!! I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED WITH HER AND DWIGHT!!!" And then Hadlie's like, "Did Pam and Jim get engaged????!!!!!" So I told them that I couldn't call Angela because it was long distance, and then Josie told me that her phone worked with long distance and then she shoved the phone in my face. So I called my friend Gabby and when she answered and I called her Angela and asked her how Dwight was, she sounded really confused, especially because I was totally ignoring every thing she said. Then she hung up on me and I told Josie and Hadlie I lost the connection but I had some news about Dwight and Micheal. So I started to tell them that Micheal burnt his foot on his George Foreman Grill and Dwight went to save him and ran into a pole and vomited all over his car. Then before I could get to telling them what happened next, their parents came home, and they were begging to let me sleep over, and right before I walked out the door, I heard Josie scream, "WHAT HAPPENED TO DWIIIIIIIIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" haha. Well children, he got a concusion. Oh, these poor kids think these people are real. I hope they don't watch NBC. It would crush them.

Good news!!! Twilight the Movie comes out on November 21 (a FRIDAY!) instead of Thursday December 12th!!!!!!!!!! yay! It comes out sooner and I get to sleep in the next day! What more could I ask for?!

Lets just say that didn't last too long. That was a good cake :)

Girls Camp '08 (a.k.a the longest post ever)

I just got back from Girls Camp!!! Yay!!!!! This years theme was All Stars, and our ward was the Willow Creek Bees! It was a lot of fun, so I thought I'd show you guys some pictures and tell you about what we did. This is a picture of our "mascot" Buzz Lightyear. It was a bee that Lela killed. Oh my gosh it was seriously the biggest bumblebee I've EVER seen in my entire life.

Our food was SO good!!! The first night we had Hawiian Haystacks (which were so good despite the celery "chunks" that was in reality celery paste. Who minces celery that small? :) The second night we had a pasta bar with three different kinds of pasta and three different kinds of sauces; Alfredo, Spaghetti, and Pesto. Then for our last day, we had Cafe Rio night! I wasn't so excited about it since I've never been to Cafe Rio, but it was SO good! Everyone said the pork tasted just like the Cafe Rio pork. It was the best pork I've ever had!!!!!!!!!!

When we first got to our campsite, we immediately started to set up the huge ginormous army tent that can fit all our wards young women and probably the whole stake if we wanted to. It didn't take as long as we thought it would, but it still took up like half of our day. This is only a glimpse of how HUGE this thing really is.

Every morning and night we had a devotional thing up at our ampitheater. A member of the stake would speak and then we would sing and have a thought and prayer. Every year at the devotional for opening ceremonies, all the wards have to stand up and sing a little chant thing. This year we sang Its the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, but we made up our own words. I can't remember the whole thing but this is part of it:

Anyway, the last two nights we went all dressed up (well if thats what you want to call it I guess) and our Mia Maid leader Michelle (whos a great hairdresser, by the way) ratted all of our hair, but payed special attention to the leaders, who had decorations and wore fake eyelashes and face paint eyeshadow. We all looked like we just stepped out of the eighties.

Oh my gosh! This is Amy, the Young Womens President. Hers was I think the funniest! She looks like a lion!This is a picture of Terri Gapinski (another one of our camp leaders), then its Beth Osborne (the other mia maid leader), and then Stephenie Jones, our secretary. Their hair was in the making.

Its tradition that each year we do a skit (at least for our ward, anyway), and we were down at the tent rehearsing when we remembered we had to go to the ampitheater. So this is a picture of all of us doing our skit. Yep, thats how we were dressed. We got some weird looks from the other wards.

Our basic plot summary was: Nicole (Grizz Bear) was a half man half bear marrying Madison who was just a normal person, and I was the minister, Minister Bubba, who was marrying them. Maddy was Grizz Bears mom, who was married to her dad but divorced him because he was too aggressive, and then married a snake and had a new baby named Sal. Kandis was married to Ashely who played Bruce Pelican the hunter, and during the wedding sniffs the air and smells Grizz Bear and then shoots him, so the wedding was called off. Bethany and Kadee were the wedding singers who hated color, and Lela was the narrator. These are some pictures of the skit. This is a picture of Bethany and Nicole. We were taking pictures of each other while we were flinging our hair around. I have like a billion of these pictures. They're so funny!!!

This is a picture of the "Power Rock". Hahaha! One day while we were up at the bathroom, there were all these girls from different wards standing around this rock. Then Bethany goes and stands up on the rock and starts pointing to different people and raising her arms and then every time she pointed to a group of people, they jumped on her will. It was the funniest thing I've ever seen! This is a picture of just the young women from our ward posing on the power rock.This is the funniest picture! Me and Maddy and Lauren and Kadee went to the ampitheater in the middle of the day and Maddy sat in the middle of it all by herself. It was so funny! You should see her face.

This picture is of Lauren (the furthest to the left), and then its Kadee, and then Madi. I guess the bleachers were wet, and now so are their butts.

I don't have pictures, but Testimony Meeting was AMAZING!!! I seriously don't think I've ever cried so much in my ENTIRE life!!!! You could feel the spirit so strongly, and everyones testimonies made mine grow so much. Our ward is really amazing! What other ward could fit all their young women in the same tent without any stupid drama, and what other wards young women during testimony meeting would all say they think of everyone as their sisters? It was the best experience. I wish everyone could experience that!

Girls Camp was the best! Out of the two years I've been to camp, this was definantly my favorite!!!!! All my cousins that haven't gone to girls camp yet, don't even hesitate to go!!! It is one of the most amazing experiences you'll ever have! It never gets old!!! You'll make such good friends and bond so much with the young women in your ward!

Puppy Play Date

The other day, our neighbor Ally Bush came over to our house with her two dogs (Max, the dauchsund, and Scout, the toy poodle).

Molly had tons of fun playing with Max (who is just about her same age), while Scout explored. Molly and Max tried to get Scout the old hag in on the action, but she would have no part of it. She's such a party pooper.While they were playing, Ally told us that her uncle had his Dauchsund bred to a Min Pin. Then she said we should breed Max and Molly and get a Weiner Pinscher. Oh, we are SO breeding those two!!!!

The Rendezvous

I was supposed to publish this post like two months ago, but I figured I'd better get it done and over with now. For our last week of school, the seventh grade had a rendezvous (yippeee! :P). Anywho, we split into groups and went around to all the different stations (I think there were twelve) and learned about mountain men. This is a picture of a... something...from one of the stations
Station Number One was with Mrs. Bucklew, my science teacher. She got really into it and dressed up. I forgot to take one of her while we were doing stuff, but this is one of her and Mrs. Golom ( :Q icky) Mrs. Bucklews the one bending over.This is some guy that taught us about blacksmithing. That was an adventure. He almost burnt a kid with his coat rack. This station is foods. This little old man makes me laugh so hard!!!! He's got a hole in his hat that just cracks me up!!!!!!!!!! He's totally clueless you know, so it made it even funnier. He was just sittin there with a flap on his head an he's talking about ox tail soup and how good it was. Nothing better than Grammas ox tail soup!!!! (He actually said that) That just goes to show how old he is, since no one in their right mind would ever eat ox tail soup. This station was with Mrs. Smith, one of the substitutes at our school. She was teaching us how to make this paper bag thing. I can't remember what it was called. Probably story roll or somehting like that. It was kind of strange but I love Mrs. Smith!!!!!!!Some lady taught us about leather and about all this nasty stuff like brains and egg yolks (which aren't that bad if they're in food, but the fact that leather is soaking that stuff up kind of creeps me out)Mr. Andersen taught us some games that Mt. Men played. I hated them all. I'm not gonna lie. I've come to realize that I am not athletic in anyway at all. Oops, thats a really bad picture.
This was the scariest station of them all. It was butter, with the crazy lady. Mrs. Chance. She's the one sitting in the van, and she is also the mother of the weirdest, most annoying little child I've ever met. Her name would be Marie. She is crazy, and kind of mentally handicapped. I don't want to sound mean, but she really is. She has problems with reading. She's apparently going out with Nick The Stick (Hey! Thats good! I just came up with that on the spot!!!) He's this really scrawny short kid that's weird and nobody likes him (which is sad, but he is the most annoying person ever) and she's cheating on him with her "cousin". Which I mean how gross is that? He isn't really her cousin, but thats who she tells Nick she's hugging. How do I know all this you say???? It's Selleste. She tells me everything. Apparently she's friends with her. I told ya she was weird.So, that was our lovely little rendezvous that I am extremely happy I don't have to go to next year. Because it was torture.
